Picking a Winner

I booked a Southwest flight to San Diego and, as usual, forgot to check in early to get a spot in the early boarding group. One advantage to being in the C group, if you can deal with getting stuck in the middle seat, is that you get to choose your seat mates.

  1. That's multihull lord king god zulu James Spithill. Wow!

  2. Couldn't have been a more serendipitous celebrity sighting for crew about to embark on a multihull!

  3. Bingo! What luck to get a seat next to Jimmy Spithill, the most famous man in yacht racing today. He skippered the incredible BMW-Oracle trimaran than won the America's Cup last year, and will likely be skippering for BMW-Oracle again in the 2013 Cup match in San Francisco.
